Through the years there have been numerous novelty tunes about Christmas. One memorable one for me was released for Christmas 1964. With Beatlemania in full swing,Gary Ferrier,a DJ from CHUM in Toronto came out with a unique replacement for the infamous "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer". Issued by Capitol Records of Canada,(The label of The Beatles) and unique to the Canadian Market, "Ringo Deer" hit the Top10 in December 1964 in Canada. The record received airplay for several following Christmas's,my original copy disappeared along the way,but upon finding one on ebay,I replaced it to play for my kids. Give it a listen & Sing Along!
