The Moody Blues Thunder Bay Community Auditorium Sept 28 2011

The Moody Blues returned to Thunder Bay,having played here in 1992,and playing an incredible concert for all in attendance. Moody Blues veterans Justin Hayward,John Lodge and Graeme Edge were in top form. Opening the show with "The Voice" from 1981's "Long Distance Voyageur", they followed with 20 other songs, including epics "Tuesday Afternoon", "The Story in Your Eyes","I Know You're Out There Somewhere", "Your Wildest Dreams","Singer in a Rock & Roll Band".
Graeme Edge stepped out to front the tune "Higher & Higher" that he wrote after the 1969 moon landing. Edge telling how having recently turned 70,he had lived through the 60's twice and  explained the song  dated to a time when his hair was brown & teeth were white and the "V" hand sign meant Peace, not Viagra. Of course no Moody Blues concert would be complete without the incredible "Isn't Life Strange" and of course "Nights in White Satin" winding up the second set. They returned to the stage playing yet another great,"Question" and retuning a second time, closing out the evening with "Ride My See Saw". An incredible show and a plaesure to watch this great band still going strong after almost 50 years!
